Bubble & Squeak

This traditional English dish originated in the 18th Century - it was then traditionally made with vegetables leftover from a big Sunday lunch and the dish bubbled and squeaked as it cooked over the fire, hence its name. 

We’ve made this recipe using our tasty potato and dark green cabbage, together with carrots and some sweet roasted onion. 

This bubble and squeak should certainly not be confined to Monday’s menu: it’s a really tasty way of serving a number of vegetables and a good boost to your “five a day”!
